Judy D. Long is a 1972 DHS graduate, and currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of First Citizens National Bank. Following graduation, she attended and graduated Dyersburg State Community College and Union University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She began her banking career with FCNB in 1974.Long is also a graduate of numerous banking schools, such as Mid-South School of Banking in Memphis, Bank Administration Graduate School of Nashville, and Bank Administration Institute of Madison, Wisconsin. Long is also a graduate of the WestStar Leadership Program, sponsored by the University of Tennessee at Martin, as well as the Dyersburg/ Dyer County Leadership Program.Long has been active in financial industry affiliations and especially as an advocate of smaller community banks, serving as a member of Advisory Board of Velocity Solutions, American Bankers Associations Community Bank Council, and Horizon CEO SPAC. She previously served as President of the FIS Horizon Division Community Bank Share Board and was appointed to the Horizon Charter Bank Board of Directors of Fidelity National Information Systems. She has served on the Board of Directors of Southern Financial Exchange Regional Payments Association since 2003 in various positions including Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee in 2015-2017 and 2008-2009; Conference Chairman in 2004 and 2008.Long is active in Tennessee Bankers Association, serving as Chairperson of the Tennessee Bankers Technology Conference in 2010 and on the conference steering committee since 2004. She has been both conference speaker and participant for these plus many other local, regional and national organizations. She was elected to the Board of Directors of NACHA in 2010 and served on the Payments 2010 Conference Planning Committee. She is heavily involved in all aspects of organizations involving Payments and Operations.In September 2011, Long was appointed to the Board of directors of First Citizens National Bank and Bancshares, which she continues to serve.She has also served on various community boards throughout her career. Recently, Long concluded serving as Chairperson of the United Way Board of Directors of West Tennessee. She has also served 3 terms as Chairperson of the DSCC Annual Campaign Fund and is presently serving as Chairperson of the DSCC Foundation Board’s ‘Legacy for Learning’ campaign.Over her career, Long has received various honors including the Sterling Award: Top 20 Most Influential Women in West Tennessee, Dyersburg/ Dyer County Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year, Paul Harris Fellowship for Rotary Club Service, Outstanding Volunteer Award from March of Dimes, American Business Women’s Woman of the Year award, Cable 2013 Board Walk of Fame for Women serving on Corporate Boards and Presidential Citation Award for Rotary President.Judy is married to Roger Long, owner and operator of Long Farms in Dyer County.
