Kenneth Hughey, class of 1949, became a distinguished Air Force Veteran. He was a pilot and spent 2068 days as a Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hughey was awarded two Silver Stars, Legion of Merit, three Distinguished Flying Crosses, two Bronze Stars, 30 Air Medals, and four Purple Hearts. He spent 15 years as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager at Hughes Aircraft Company. After retiring from Hughes, he spent 13 years as a Deputy District Attorney for the City of Los Angeles.
