Sarah Rice Miller, class of 1941, became a registered nurse and joined the Cadet Nurse Corps to serve in public health. Mrs. Miller was honored in 1998 as the longest known employee in the field of publich health in the United States for serving over 50 years. Mrs. Miller received numerous honors and awards, but most memorable was having the Health Department in Dyersburg bear her name.
