Mrs. Sarah Alley is a member of the 1987 Dyersburg High School graduating class. She graduated from Dyersburg State Community College and continued her college years at University of Memphis. Mrs Alley received her Masters of Education from Union University. She was a member of the women's basketball team at DSCC and University of Memphis. Mrs. Alley has worked with Dyer County Schools and Dyersburg City Schools with teaching, coaching, support, and received Teacher of the Year Award and the Walmart Teacher of the Year. She created and is leader of the McIver’s Grant Public Library Tween and Adult, chairperson of the Autumn March for ALS, Volunteer at Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, Youth Group Director and High Sunday School Religious Teacher at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. Alley has received the Life Time Achievement at Holy Angels. She also writes a blog “Out of my Body and into my Mind” for the State Gazette. Mrs. Alley’s favorite saying: “I’m not finished until I take my last breath. Where God leads me, I will follow.”
